The eastern starting point of the Great Wall, Hushan Great Wall

Dandong Hushan Great Wall is located to the east of Dandong City, Liaoning Province, on the banks of the Yalu River, which borders China and North Korea. It is the easternmost starting point of China's Great Wall and an important scenic area of the Yalu River as well as a national key cultural relic for protection. The Hushan Great Wall was originally built in the fifth year of the Ming Dynasty, supervised by Han Bin, the deputy commander of Liaodong at that time. The Hushan Great Wall we see today has been rebuilt on the original site. Although it is a reconstruction, the trajectory of the wall and the positions of the enemy towers are consistent with history. The geographical environment of the Hushan Great Wall is superior. Originally named Ma'ershan, it was renamed Hushan because the two side-by-side towering peaks resemble the erect ears of a tiger, also known as Tiger Ear Mountain. Hushan stands alone on the plain with a broad view. From here, we can see North Korea across the river, with its fields and houses clearly visible. Climbing the Great Wall to enjoy the scenery and the breeze is very pleasant.
