The crisscrossing tunnel system, with a total length of 1300 meters, was built during World War II and served as a refuge in the city. Now, it has become an ideal place to cool off in the summer. I bought a ticket at the tourist center, but for some reason, the door to the underground tunnel was closed, so I went back to refund the ticket and left without visiting. The charm of Kranj is not only underground; the city itself also boasts rich natural landscapes and cultural activities. Stroll along the ancient cobblestone streets, explore historic buildings, enjoy the serene lakes and green hills, and every corner of Kranj is worth savoring.
