Song Thaew is Thailand's one public transportation. From International or Domestic Arrival Hall, you need to get outside of the airport and walk to the main highway (approximately 10 minutes walk). I was sweating like a pig that time since I arrived in Krabi at past half 8 in the morning. I've waited like 10 to minutes before a Songthaew going to Ao Nang beach passed by. Since this was my first time in Krabi I'm not familiar with the place (literally). Through the help of the locals and Google Map, I arrived in iRest Seafront safe. I paid 50 baht for the entire trip and the travel time was 45 minutes with minimal stops. You may also consider a shared van transfer from Krabi International Airport to your hotel directly. Transfer per passenger is 150.00 baht whilst private car transfer starts at 500.00 baht for 3-4 passengers. WHERE TO STAY IN KRABI I usually look at my accommodation depends on my budget and how long I'll be staying. I stayed in iRest Seafront and I booked my bunk bed for 380.00 baht per night. Later on, I found out that I booked a simple, clean, and literally walking distance to Ao Nang Beach.
