Wat Phu Khao Phra Maha Bodhisattva Guan Yin, Ao Nang, Krabi

Wat Phu Khao Phra Maha Bodhisattva Guan Yin is located on Ao Nang Road heading towards Ao Nam Mao, near Ao Nang Police Station and Makro Ao Nang. You can easily spot it from the main road while driving. From the main road, turn into the alley and drive about 300 meters to reach the base of the stairs leading up the hill (as of May 2023). The stairs up the hill are quite steep, and each step is narrow, less than the length of a ruler. Those with larger feet need to tread carefully. Fortunately, there are several resting points along the way. At each level, you’ll find sacred spots where you can pay respects, make wishes, and donate according to your beliefs. As for the scenery, it’s absolutely stunning. Even from the mid-levels, turning back to look down at the ground below reveals breathtaking views of the majestic mountains. The higher you climb, the more expansive and beautiful the view becomes.
