Samukawa Shrine, the Ichinomiya of Sagami Province, is being relocated to Koza County, Kanagawa Prefecture. The annual "New Year Nebuta" is being displayed at the shrine gate again this year! There is a theme for every 12 years, and this is the 24th time. This year, which is based on mythology, is "Katsujin ~ The Eight Great Dragon Kings ~". The Eight Great Dragon Kings are said to bring blessings such as safety for the home and prosperity in business. Next year is the Year of the Dragon, and the dragon 🐉, which has been chosen as the symbolic animal of that year, is a perfect fit. The three-dimensional "Nebuta" looks very different depending on the angle from which you view it, which was very interesting.
