Kota Kinabalu hotel review | Grandi Hotel stay experience.

I stayed at Grandis Hotel Kota Kinabalu during my last few days in Kota Kinabalu. I feel the price/performance ratio is average. First of all, the rooms have connecting doors. If two rooms know each other, it would be nice to open both doors and visit each other. But if you don’t know it, it feels weird to have a connecting door. The location is not bad, and you can walk directly into Shuguang Square from the second floor. Opposite is Hyatt Centric. The decoration of the room is old-fashioned star hotel. It feels a bit aged. The rooftop swimming pool is relatively small. The photography is quite good. And there are many tour groups staying here. Overall, the experience is not good. You can watch the sunset from the top floor, but there are always a lot of 🇰🇷 aunties occupying the swimming pool. The rooftop bar is very old and the venue is relatively small. The gym equipment is quite complete. There are many advantages, and the location is really good. There is a Starbucks downstairs, the price is not expensive. On the left hand side when you go downstairs of the hotel is the duty-free shopping city. On the right hand side there are many internet celebrity restaurants. 🍴We ate at many internet celebrity restaurants along the way and they were quite good. Cheston Pier⛵️ is also nearby and can be reached quickly on foot, suitable for day trips. The security guy on the first floor was very welcoming❤️‍🔥He came to help with the luggage as soon as we got off the car. However, the front desk would not agree to delayed check-out or additional requests for water. The apartments currently under construction also block most of the sea views. Personally, I don't think 500 a night is worth it. There are many other options.
