My Songkran Getaway to Koh Yao Noi: A 3-Day Slice of Paradise

Just back from a 3-day trip to Koh Yao Noi over the Songkran holidays, and I'm already dreaming of going back. #kohyaonoi This island is a gem! Getting There & First Impressions The journey to Koh Yao Noi, whether from Phuket or Krabi, sets the tone for the trip. The boat ride through Phang Nga Bay is breathtaking, with towering limestone cliffs and emerald-green waters. Arriving on the island, I was immediately struck by its laid-back vibe. It's a world away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy Thai islands. Celebrations: Being there for Songkran was an absolute blast! The island had a relaxed but fun atmosphere. Beaches and Activities: Koh Yao Noi boasts some stunning beaches such as Long Beach, Klong Jark Beach, were perfect for activities, such as swimming, sunbathing, relaxing. I also rented a scooter to explore the island, went kayaking, took a boat trip to nearby islands. Don't miss the viewpoints; they offer panoramic views of the bay. Food: The food on Koh Yao Noi was incredible. From fresh seafood at local restaurants to delicious Thai dishes, there was something to satisfy every craving. Pros: Peaceful Atmosphere: Perfect for relaxation. Stunning Scenery: Beautiful beaches, lush greenery, and amazing views. Friendly Locals: The people are incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Authentic Experience: Offers a glimpse into a more traditional Thai way of life. Variety of Activities: There's something for everyone, from relaxing on the beach to exploring the island. Cons: Limited Nightlife: If you're looking for wild parties, this isn't the place. Getting Around: While part of the charm, the roads can be a bit bumpy in places.
