#TravelChat 📍 Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villas & Resort — A 4-star beachfront resort on Laem Mae Phim that instantly makes Rayong feel special. This time, I had the opportunity to stay at Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villas & Resort on a hotel-closing rally trip on both sides. I must say, I was more impressed than I thought! The resort has 184 rooms in total, divided into the Ocean View Wing, which overlooks the sea, and the Garden Wing, which is surrounded by greenery. Both offer different but equally beautiful atmospheres. --- 🌿 Garden Wing Rooms: Great value, comfortable, and spacious than expected I stayed in a Superior Room with Balcony in the Garden Wing. The price is typically around 2,000 baht, which is a great value considering the 39 sq m room size. It's spacious, clean, and still looks new. The bathroom doesn't have a bathtub, but overall, it's great for a family vacation. --- 🏖️ Full facilities, accessible on both sides. The most striking feature of this resort is the shared facilities on both sides. The swimming pools have different atmospheres in each zone. Fitness The Kids' Club (Garden Wing) is not large. But there are also toys and a PlayStation for the kids to enjoy. Importantly, the resorts are not directly opposite each other. We recommend using the hotel's shuttle service, which includes both songthaews and vans. It's convenient and doesn't require a long walk. --- 🏝️ Beach: Beautiful sand, clear water, and a pleasant stroll. The Ocean View beach is a lovely place to walk, with fine sand and a wonderful atmosphere. In the morning, you can even see people swimming. If you enjoy a refreshing walk or taking photos, this is the perfect place. --- 🍹 KOH17 – Rooftop: A must-visit highlight! If you're staying here and don't head up to KOH17 on the Garden Wing rooftop, you're missing out! This spot offers panoramic sea views from three sides, as the resort is located on a protruding headland. The atmosphere is like relaxing in Phuket or Samui, but without the long flight—it's right in Rayong. Whether you're going for a meal or just a drink, it's worth it. Plus, even non-hotel guests can come up here. The view is beautiful, the wind is strong, and the atmosphere is amazing. It's a truly special moment. --- 🍳 Breakfast: Variety and surprises. Breakfast exceeded expectations. The food line was diverse, and most importantly… There was ice cream in the breakfast line. They had honeycomb, which is what you would normally find in a 5-star hotel. The food was delicious and impressive!
