However, natural resources in this area were destroyed and the mangrove forest environment degraded. Pak Nam Prasae Subdistrict Municipality has taken great care of and placed importance on the mangrove ecosystem to maintain its balance. They have collaborated with local villagers to develop Rayong's largest mangrove forest into a conservation and educational tourist attraction. The highlight of this mangrove forest is the sunrise in the morning or the sunset in the evening. The soft sunlight hits the tops of the mangrove trees, illuminating them with a golden glow. The contrast between the sun's rays and the green leaves creates an atmosphere that can be described as "unseen." This is the origin of the term "Thung Prong Thong." It's a time to capture the most special memories. Anyone who comes here and doesn't capture a photo is truly missing out. But most people definitely don't miss out; they just take so many photos that their camera memory is full. In addition to the dense, lush mangrove trees, offering a 360-degree view, there's a 2.6-kilometer long wooden walkway built by the villagers of Ban Sam Phu, Pak Nam Prasae, allowing visitors to explore the mangrove forest up close and personal. This area is also a great place to study nature, as shrimp, shellfish, crabs, fish, and other marine life can be seen here. It's also a place of immense natural abundance, with fishermen still making a living in this area.
