An alternative lagoon

Iceland is of course famous for its hot springs which have been turned int tourist attractions across the nation. The most famous of these is of course the blue lagoon, however it is expensive and its popularity can lead to overcrowding. An alternative can be found just 45 minutes north of the capital, Reykjavik at the Hvammsvik hot springs. Here you can indulge in 8 different pools of varying temperatures overlooking a stunning fjord on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. One of the pools comes complete with a swim up bar and when you have finished the on site cafe provides some of the best food the country has to offer #hotsprings #iceland
