The divine realm of the gods in the deep mountains, Kirishima

🌸 Kirishima is located in the northeastern part of Kagoshima, Japan, and it is said to be the birthplace of the Japanese creation myth. It takes only 50 minutes to reach there by taking the JR express from Kagoshima Central Station. 🌸 Kirishima is a hiker's paradise, with an extensive network of mountain trails of varying difficulty levels. While hiking through the woods, you might even see herds of deer passing through. There are also many volcanic hot spring baths here, making it a well-known hot spring resort area in Japan. In the distance, you can see the volcano of Sakurajima (picture 4️⃣). Red-tiled houses are scattered across the island. Passing by a kindergarten, there is a cherry tree in the courtyard 'snowing' (picture 5️⃣), two chefs in white coats and hats are making lunch in the clean and shiny kitchen, a few children stand in a cart, and the teacher slowly pushes them for a walk on the road, waving cheerfully at us when they see us. Such a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. 🌸 The Kirishima Central Train Station (last picture) is very small, and because there are not many trains, it is often unstaffed. Besides a drink shop, half of the area is a fan and specialty product purchase area, all decorated with natural wood, and there is a refreshing scent of wood.
