Temple of the Noble Ones in Khon Kaen

🏡Wat Thung Setthi: The word 'Setthi' is a Sanskrit term, written in Pali as 'Setthi', meaning 'noble'. 🏠The temple was built in 2005 by Luang Ta Yam Daeng as a place for practicing Dharma, using his own land. It is believed to be a gateway or connection between the three worlds: the underworld, the human world, and heaven, with various contemporary arts that contain hidden Dharma puzzles. 🙏In the vihara, there are statues of the Four Heavenly Kings in a unique form not seen elsewhere. There is also the Garden of the First Buddha, which contains teachings about the cycle of birth and death in samsara, and the city of hell, showing the punishments for those who break the five precepts. 🙏Luang Ta Yam Daeng was once a monk. People called him 'Luang Ta' (revered uncle). After disrobing, he wore white robes and carried a red shoulder bag, continuing to practice Dharma as he did when he was a monk. His disciples still call him 'Luang Ta'. Because he always carried a red bag and sometimes wore red robes, he became known as 'Luang Ta Yam Daeng'.
