Sarasin Bridge - a place of tragic love

Sarasin Bridge was the first bridge that connected Phuket Island with mainland Thailand. It was opened in 1967. And on February 22, 1973, a tragedy occurred on it: lovers Am Satan and Kanchana "Gew" Sae-go jumped into the water from the bridge together and drowned. Dam was a poor bus driver that Gyu took to college. They met on this bus and started dating, but Hugh's rich father had already looked for a profitable match for her and did everything to end their relationship. As a result, the lovers decided to take their own lives. In 2011, two new bridges were opened and the Sarasin Bridge was no longer needed. But they did not dismantle it, but instead made it pedestrian and arranged an observation deck. So now anyone can walk along it and climb up to appreciate the beauty of this place. #thailand #phuket #phangnga #mytripvlog #awesomepic
