Khiva sightseeing

#celebrateit When you pass through the Ota Darvaza Gate (West Gate), the first thing that jumps into your eyes is an unfinished minaret covered with bright blue tiles. Construction of the tower began in 1852, but was halted in 1855 due to the death of Muhammad Amin Khan. This minaret, which was supposed to be the tallest tower in Hiva, stands as if it had been cut in half because the construction was interrupted in the middle. Its figure is nicknamed "Cartaminal (short tower)". This minaret, which contrasts beautifully with the beige walls, shines even more in the sunlight during the day. And at night, it is lit up, and the mysterious blue beauty that is different from the daytime emerges.
