Five must-see Buddha statues in Phetchabun

1. In Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew, a temple on Khao Kho Mountain in Phetchabun Province, there is a five-headed Buddha statue. The first sight of it is truly awe-inspiring. The map shows that it is open until 6pm, but after 6pm, the lights are simply turned on, and many tourists still arrive to visit. There is no admission fee, but you need to take off your shoes. The Buddha statue is built on a high platform, offering beautiful scenery. 2. The lotus throne is a three-story building, with each floor enshrining different Buddha statues. Because we arrived a little late, we only visited the top floor room. We encountered a monk explaining the statues that day. You can make a donation and receive a consecrated bracelet. Then, holding the monk's robe, you walk around the Buddhist hall three times. Inside, there is a small room with many white threads, like a kind of purification. It is said that this room is usually not open. The entire temple area is very large and can be visited for a long time. The other side of the temple's exterior walls and ground are decorated with porcelain pieces, making it particularly colorful. You can also see peacocks roaming freely in the garden, all of which are worth seeing. 3. Just hearing the name Phetchabun evokes a sense of a verdant, vibrant city, yet also imbued with a delicate tranquility. Indeed, the place lives up to its name. The overcast sky over Khao Kho further enhances its serene and peaceful charm, not just in the weather but also within oneself. Nature is so beautiful, the world so vast.
