Khao Chakan Cave Temple

Wat Tham Khao Chakan is located on Khao Chakan, which is a large limestone mountain that is lined up next to each other. It is an ancient limestone mountain with Khao Chakan being the largest and in the middle. At the foot of the mountain is an arboretum. It is used as a place for reforestation by the Royal Forest Department. This Khao Chakan area is also home to “Wat Tham Khao Chakan”, a Mahayana Buddhist temple. Inside the temple is a reinforced steel building, half brick, half wood, and about 300 steps to the top of the mountain for a viewpoint. There is an important cave, Khao Thalu Cave.
