Yukizuka Inari Shrine Yukizuka Inari Shrine is located in Saiwai-cho, Kawagoe City. There is a legend about a white fox. During the Edo period, a white fox wandered into this town and was eaten by a young man. The fox then fell ill with a fever and a human spirit appeared every night. So a shrine was built and the fox's skin and bones were buried in the mound. It is said that the shrine was named "Yukizuka Inari Shrine" because it was a snowy day. And in 1988, a stone tablet was discovered in the center of the floor during the shrine building renovation, and the legend was confirmed.
