Just returned from Izu! It was really beautiful and super comfortable

✅Transportation: Take the train to Atagawa Station, and you can see the hotel right after you exit. There is a shuttle bus every half hour during the day, which is quite convenient and doesn't require a reservation in advance, but it stops running after 4 PM (you can book in advance if you check in late). You can also get off at Kitagawa Station and walk for 10 minutes to reach the hotel. Additionally, it's very convenient to go to the sister hotel, Kichijo-tei, for a hot spring bath, which is a five-minute walk (there's a small path behind the hotel across the zebra crossing). When it gets dark, you can take the shuttle bus, which runs every half hour. If you stay for multiple nights, you can take the hotel's shuttle to Izu-Kogen Station. ✅Food: My rating is 'feeding pigs'. Upon arrival, the hotel gives you a booklet that crazily introduces what food is available at what times, and there are free snacks all day long. The room also provides many small snacks (the orange jelly is highly recommended). For dinner, I chose teppanyaki and French kaiseki, but I don't like raw food and seafood, so I had a hard time eating. If you stay for multiple nights, they offer a lunch bento, but I didn't take it. ✅Environment: It's much quieter than the old Kichijo-tei, and the overall facilities are newer. The hot spring views are also great (we basically tried all the baths). It's a comfortable walk down to the seaside, and walking on the breakwater is very pleasant.
