Even in summer, Muya Holy Land (木雅圣地) surprises with snow-dusted grasslands as you near the peak. Our bus had to stop short due to slippery roads—but that made the walk up all the more magical. 🌨️ 📍 Designated as a national 4A scenic area, it’s the first in Garzê Prefecture to fuse Tibetan folk culture with pristine natural scenery—and it shows. Think: cloud seas rolling over meadows, wildflowers in bloom, and yaks and marmots roaming freely. 🐏🦫 🏔️ Elevation ranges from 3,600 m to 4,400 m, and we felt it! I’d recommend bringing oxygen canisters, wearing warm clothes (even in July!), and taking your time. At nearly 4,300 m, even the most prepared may feel a bit of mild altitude sickness. 💡 What makes it unforgettable? ✨ Snow in summer ✨ Seas of clouds and snow-capped peaks ✨ Free roaming yaks and marmots. You can feed the marmots with bread or vegetables. ✨ A true sense of Tibetan spirituality—calm, raw, and grounding Whether you’re passing through Zheduo Mountain or doing the 318 route, Muya Holy Land is worth a stop.
