It is recommended to stay in Xinduqiao the night before, depart from Xinduqiao the next day, the drive takes 2-3 hours. Do not drive directly from Chengdu at night, as it is difficult to drive, the road is winding through the mountains, without another car in sight, pitch black!!! It is not recommended to travel at night. 2. As you approach the destination, there will be a fence, and villagers will collect an entrance fee of 25 RMB per person. If it's peak season, make sure to book the local homestays in advance, otherwise, there will be no place to stay once you get there. 3. The area is quite primitive, including the homestays, which often lack water and electricity. The local food is very light, so you can bring some instant noodles or self-heating pots. 4. If you have enough time, you can follow the homestay owner to pick mushrooms in the mountains, all natural!! Remember, after picking mushrooms, have them checked by experienced locals!! 5. The next morning, a 10-minute drive will take you to Moon Lake. The layout here is divided into campsites, at the entrance to the scenic spot. 6. Campsite number 6 requires a 20-minute walk inward. The most beautiful site is the innermost campsite number 6, which is basically deserted, and you can bring a drone. Photo Spot Recommendations 1. There is a lake at campsite number 1 near the entrance of the scenic area. Standing on the opposite shore, you can capture the reflection of the snow mountain, and there's also a swing, perfect for photos. 2. Continue walking along the trail inside, and you'll find many dead trees. 3. Campsite number 2 allows you to walk into the grassland in the middle of the lake, where you can take photos with horses. 4. Keep going deeper, and there are many places in the middle of the lake to explore, with trees, meadows, and flowers. Wearing a fairy dress and taking photos here is very picturesque. About Camping Camping in the scenic area is free, and you can rent local tents and canopies for 120 RMB for 8 hours, or 200 RMB per day.
