Hokkaido Sounkyou Ice Falls Festival

2023 is the 48th Sounkyo Icefall Festival. This event is already a long-standing ice festival in Hokkaido. It will be held from January 28 to March 12, from 17:00 to 21:30 in the evening. Tickets are only 500 yen and can be purchased at the hotel or at the entrance. The overall icefall exhibition area is not very large and can be visited in about 20 to 30 minutes. There are several large ice house buildings inside. They are not exquisite but a bit wild. They are also quite artistic when lit up at night. There is also an inflatable tire skating area where you can rent tires for 500 yen for 15 minutes. Children and adults who like skating can rent them for a fee.
