Tokyo suburbs: Kamakura and Enoshima one-day trip

If you want to buy some Kamakura souvenirs, you can go to Komachi-dori Shopping Street to get a lot of them (Figure 1). Since Kamakura is rich in silver carp, you can see many famous dishes featuring silver carp on Komachi-dori (Figure 2). Ugafuku Shrine (Figure 3) is located in the mountainous area northwest of central Kamakura. Going up the slope, you will see a torii gate and a man-made tunnel in front of a cave on the cliff. This is the entrance to the shrine. You can borrow a bamboo sieve for laundering money at the community office. After purchasing candles that are meant to shine in the dark night and incense sticks that are meant to ward off evil spirits (Figure 4), you can head to the main hall to make offerings and pay your respects. The inner palace is located in the cave in front (Figure 5). Comic fans must visit the Slam Dunk level crossing in front of Kamakura High School, and of course, don't forget to visit Enoshima to enjoy the tranquil and beautiful sea view. Enoshima (Figure 6) is a small island located southwest of Kamakura City and connected to the mainland by a bridge. It is famous for its beautiful sea views and rich marine activities. Enoshima Shrine (Figure 7) is a shrine dedicated to the god of the sea and attracts many pilgrims. Enoshima Lighthouse (Figure 8) offers spectacular sea views, especially at sunset. Rock House (Figure 9-12): This is a natural cave with beautiful rock formations and sea water inside.
