[Kanagawa Prefecture/Kaminomizu Shrine] The god of water enshrined on a small hill

Kaminomizu Jingu is a shrine within the grounds of Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine. The main shrine is located at the back of the main shrine, and enshrines the clear water that springs from a small hill. The enshrined deity is Mizuhanome-no-kami. Said to be a god born from the excrement of Izanami-no-mikoto. To the left of the main shrine, many carp swim gracefully.
