It is also the largest national park in Australia. Therefore, to visit the entire national park, you need at least three days. When I went there, I only had two days, so I could only visit many attractions, which was a pity. Kakadu National Park is managed jointly by Parks Australia and the traditional Aboriginal people of this land, the Bininj and Mungguy people, who have lived on this land for more than 50,000 years, making them the oldest culture in the world. In Kakadu National Park, in addition to admiring the remains of ancient humans and rock art, you can also get close to local wildlife. Like Litchfield National Park, Kakadu National Park also has countless spectacular waterfalls and natural pools of various sizes for visitors to swim in. Visitors can also travel through the mysterious rainforest to find lost civilizations and unique rocky landforms. If you have limited time for your visit, you might want to focus on the following five recommended attractions: Nourlangie Rock Art Site, Gunlom Falls, Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Twin Falls and Ubirr. At the Nourlangie Rock Art Area, visitors can see some of the oldest and most beautiful rock art in the world, with Aboriginal people using petroglyphs to record life in the region for 20,000 years until first contact with European explorers. During the dry season (April to October), rangers also take visitors to the rock art area for guided tours and explanations. Ubirr is the other of two Aboriginal rock art galleries in Kakadu National Park. There are three main rock art galleries to view, including the Main Gallery, which displays various animals; the Rainbow Serpent Gallery and the Namarrgarn Sisters Gallery, each gallery displays unique rock art. It must be mentioned that Ubirr is also the best place in the park to watch the sunset. If time permits, you might as well watch the beautiful sunset from the top of the mountain before leaving. The Garron Falls cleverly combines seasonal waterfalls with tranquil pools, allowing visitors to relax, swim and enjoy nature.
