I preferred the ambiance to the food.

On the way to Hekou, we passed by Kaiyuan and unexpectedly discovered a small courtyard restaurant nestled next to the Phoenix Ecological Wetland Park 🏞️. There's a parking lot right at the entrance, making parking very convenient. The setting is fantastic 👍. Stepping into the courtyard, you'll find a two-story building with a small bridge and flowing water downstairs, creating a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere. There's no main dining hall, only booths and private rooms, offering good privacy. The clear blue sky ☀️, white clouds ☁️, and surrounding natural scenery blend perfectly. Dining here is a mood booster 🥳🥳. The restaurant specializes in Yunnan cuisine 🥗, with each dish exuding rich, distinctive Yunnan flavors. The overall quality of the dishes is good, with generous portions and great value. However, I couldn't pinpoint any one dish that was particularly outstanding, though all the dishes were quite good. The service here is quite simple, without any frills. If you're looking for high-end service, this place definitely isn't for you. This courtyard restaurant boasts a prime location, a beautiful environment, and authentic Yunnan cuisine, providing a unique dining option for passing travelers. If you're seeking a natural, pure dining experience and are passionate about exploring local specialties, then this place is worth a try.
