It turns out you can drive directly to the top of Maoshan.

⛰️You can drive along the mountain road on the west side of Maoshan Mountain to the summits of Er Mao and San Mao Peaks, enjoying the mountain scenery and the surrounding vast plains🖼️. The leaves along the road🍁 have turned yellow, making for very photogenic scenes. There are many reservoirs🏞️ scattered around, but don't get too close. There are also several Taoist temples in the mountains; I only visited one. 🥘I also discovered a beautiful place in Maoshan: Maoshan Peninsula. Surrounded by lakes on three sides, it's the season when egrets migrate south, and Maoshan Peninsula is their habitat. They have an egret habitat wetland park there, with a beautiful environment and stunning lake views. There's also a hotel on the peninsula—Maoshan Hantian Resort Hotel—which we chose to stay at that night. It's very close to the Maoshan Scenic Area and Salt Lake City, with ample parking, and is a great place to try local Maoshan specialties. 🚩Tips: Maoshan is very large, and you won't encounter any noisy crowds on weekends. There are only a few fishermen, motorcyclists, and off-road enthusiasts on the road. It's a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
