The temples that locals in Jiujiang must visit

Jiujiang Donglin Temple is located at the western foot of Mount Lu, about sixteen kilometers away from Jiujiang city center. It is 50 kilometers away from Guling Town on Mount Lu, and since it is situated to the east of the West Forest Temple, it is known as Donglin Temple. The history of Donglin Temple is very ancient, having been established during the Eastern Jin Dynasty in ancient times. Nowadays, many tourists come to visit Donglin Temple in Jiujiang for sightseeing. Donglin Temple was founded by the famous monk Huiyuan during the ninth year of Taiyuan in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (384 AD), more than 1,600 years ago. With its interlocking beams and pillars, and its red and green reflections, 'its grand scale is fit for the residence of ten thousand monks,' and it is one of the eight major Buddhist practice sites in China. The temple's environment is very beautiful, with a large lotus (lotus flower) pond in front of the Heavenly King Hall. The lotus represents purity, beauty, and Buddhism. The lotus and the Buddha's advocated transcendental personality are seamlessly integrated. It is said that praying for a fortune at Donglin Temple is very effective and free of charge. Listening to the sound of Buddhist scriptures here can relax the mind, and sincerity brings spirituality. You can spend 1-2 hours in the morning and then go to the Donglin Big Buddha. Donglin Temple and Donglin Big Buddha are not in the same place, but they are close, about 20km apart.
