We are Nicolena, a Japanese-Italian couple who love Asia and cost-effective travel✈︎ We compared 4 ways to get to Jiufen, a very popular spot in Taiwan😁 The distance from Taipei to Jiufen is about 1 to 1.5 hours one way👍 You can also make a day trip, but you should do your research carefully so you don't waste time getting lost or on the wrong train😉 There are 4 ways to get from Taipei to Jiufen: "bus", "train + bus or taxi", "taxi", and "local tour"✨ The most recommended way for first-timers in Taiwan is a local tour😆 You don't have to worry about getting lost or on the wrong train, and there are tours where you can listen to a guide's explanation, so you can deepen your understanding🙌 If you're going on your own, the bus is also highly recommended!
