Strolling through Jiufen: A Charming Old Grocery Store Hidden in the Mountain Town

This kind of unexpected discovery is truly the most delightful! On this day, I came to Jiufen specifically for a photoshoot. While casually wandering through the mountain alleys outside the tourist area, I stumbled upon an old grocery store full of a sense of time - 'Old Monk Grocery Store.' The first thing that caught my eye was the handmade signs and wind chimes made from various beverage cans at the entrance. Upon closer inspection, I realized that this was an incredibly old traditional grocery store! It is said to be the only remaining traditional grocery store in the Jiufen area. Inside, it still sells all kinds of retro snacks and daily necessities - it's super vintage! I love it so much!!! The beauty of Taiwan is not just in its magnificent natural scenery but also in these preserved 'human touch' and 'sense of time.'
