Lishui's least-known attraction! Heyang Ancient Residences

Heyang Ancient Residences, a millennium-old village hidden in Jinyun, Lishui, attracted me with its simple charm and long history. Here, I experienced the charm of the Wu-style architecture, admired the unique architectural style of the ancient residences, and tasted the local cuisine. II. Historical Introduction Heyang Ancient Residences are located in Xinjian Town, Jinyun County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, and were established during the Southern Song Dynasty, with a history of over 1000 years. The architecture here is mainly the white-wall and black-tile Wu-style, typical of the ancient residences in the Jiangnan water towns. III. Recommended Attractions 1. Ancient Residences: There are about 1500 remaining house buildings in Heyang Ancient Residences, each with the white-wall and black-tile Wu-style architecture. Being in the ancient residences feels like returning to an era hundreds of years ago, very simple and elegant. 2. Must-visit spots: Bashi Gate Xuzhu Ancestral Hall Horse Head Wall Heyang Ancient Street Following the Moon. 3. Food Recommendations: Jinyun baked cakes, Jinyun local noodles, the baked cake fillings with a mix of half-fat and half-lean pork paired with pickled vegetables are super delicious. IV. Ticket Information Tickets: After 17:30 in the evening, entering the scenic area is free of charge, or you can enter through the side paths. During the day, no tickets are required either, but some ancestral halls require a separate ticket for visiting. V. Transportation Guide Apart from self-driving, there are direct buses from all over the country to Lishui high-speed train station, or you can take a bus to Lishui station and transfer to Jinyun West station, then take a taxi for about 10km.
