Hey friends, today I'm sharing a travel guide to Shengtang Mountain in Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi. Pack your bags and let's embark on this fantastic journey together! 🚗 🌄 Shengtang Mountain: A dreamland of nature Shengtang Mountain is located in Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi. As the main peak of Dayao Mountain, it stands at an altitude of 1,979 meters and enjoys the reputation of being the "highest peak in central Guangxi". The mountain is massive, with cliffs and towering peaks shrouded in mist year-round, resembling a fairyland with ever-changing scenery. The area boasts a rich diversity of primitive vegetation, with thousand-year-old hemlock trees standing tall and welcoming pine trees in various poses. Every May, azaleas bloom all over the mountains, forming a sea of flowers that is breathtakingly beautiful! 🍃 Pleasant climate and rich Yao culture Jinxiu is known as the "cool capital of Guangxi", with an average annual temperature of 17°C and an average summer temperature of no more than 25°C, making it an ideal summer retreat! The Yao culture is rich here. In the county seat, you can experience the unique Yao customs, taste local specialties, and enjoy a Dayao Mountain herbal foot bath to soothe your tired muscles after hiking. It's super relaxing! 🚗 Transportation guide - Public transportation: There are long-distance buses from Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin, and other cities directly to Jinxiu. Within Jinxiu County, you can take a bus or hire a car to Shengtang Mountain Scenic Area. - Self-driving: Self-driving is very convenient, just follow the navigation. However, please note that the road to the scenic area after arriving in Jinxiu has winding mountain roads, so drive carefully. The scenic area entrance is about 10 km from the mountain climbing entrance. Motorcycles and private cars can go directly to the climbing entrance. If you don't want to drive, you can take the scenic area shuttle bus. The entire journey from the climbing entrance to the summit is about 4.2 km. Get your energy ready and head for the top! 🍜 Jinxiu cuisine - Beef Noodles: Highly recommend a noodle shop frequented by locals (see pictures 16-18). Slurp up a mouthful, it's super satisfying! - Local specialties: Shengtang Mountain wild tea is fragrant and refreshing; Yao bacon is firm and savory; smoked meat is rich in flavor; wild vegetable soup is fresh and light; Yao stuffed tofu is tender and juicy; bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat is extra fresh; sweet wine is mellow and sweet; wild mushroom soup is nutritious and delicious; and Yao glutinous rice cakes are soft, glutinous, and sweet.
