The waterfall cluster of Madian Bottom in Jinping, Honghe, is a sight to behold

After exiting the expressway at Manhao in Gejiu, a drive of over 40 kilometers along the mountain road takes you through vast banana plantations, with the altitude climbing all the way. This is Madian Bottom Township in Jinping County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan, home to the Ladeng River Waterfall, the Biaoshuiya Waterfall, and the annual butterfly explosion in May, which together form the three calling cards of Madian Bottom. During the rainy season, some sunlight pierces through the clouds when capturing aerial drone footage after parking. Once you walk into the Ladeng River Canyon, water mist mixed with mountain rain pours down, often making it impossible to take out a camera, and a smartphone is more suitable for shooting in such an environment.
