| Nanyang Style Ancient Village. Wulin Village is an ancient village with a history of over 600 years, blending Minnan and Nanyang styles. It is also a famous hometown for overseas Chinese in Minnan, with about 15,000 overseas Chinese. The village has well-preserved century-old buildings, mostly built by Nanyang overseas Chinese returning home during the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, featuring a variety of styles. During holidays, there are folk performances and cultural exhibitions in the village. As soon as you enter the village, many people will come up and ask if you want to take photos in Peranakan costumes. Of course, you can also rent props separately. Since we are here, we let our friends rent a fan and an oil-paper umbrella to take some photos. Overall, the buildings in Wulin Village are beautiful, with a strong sense of history, making it great for photography, but it is also quite commercialized. There are electric shuttles to and from the village entrance (for a fee), or you can walk about 1 kilometer. ⏰ Opening hours: Open all day, all year round Transportation: 5 minutes from Fuzhou-Xiamen High-Speed Railway Station, 15 minutes from Quanzhou International Airport. It took us about 30 minutes and over 40 yuan to take a taxi from Fengze District, Quanzhou. 🚶 Playtime: About 2-3 hours is enough for walking and taking photos.
