Geological and Landform Wonders ⭐️ Tongling Grand Canyon is a typical karst landform, stretching 3.8 kilometers long, connected by Tongling Gorge, Nianba Gorge, and an underground river and tunnel. Originally a blind valley, geological movements caused the top to collapse, forming a large skylight. Surrounded by steep cliffs, the canyon is narrow and deep, like a crack in the earth. Inside the cave, the stalactites are bizarre and varied, the cave ceiling forms a narrow strip of sky, and the underground river connects with the canyon stream, creating a unique water landscape. ⭐️ The Stunning Tongling Waterfall Tongling Waterfall is 188.6 meters high, one of the highest single-drop waterfalls in Southwest China. Water plunges from the cliff top with tremendous momentum, mist filling the air, and if you’re lucky, you can see a rainbow hanging over the waterfall. Behind the waterfall is a water curtain cave featuring unique lava formations and a nine-tiered waterfall inside the cave. Walking through it feels like entering a magical world. ⭐️ A Green Forest Bursting with Negative Oxygen Ions The canyon is home to over 2,000 plant species, including rare plants like tree ferns from the dinosaur era and lotus seed-bearing maidenhair ferns.
