Quyang Lake - A Mesmerizing Lake on the China-Vietnam Border

If you plan to tour around Quyang Lake, it takes about four hours by bicycle, so hiking is not recommended. Visitors who prefer self-driving or renting a car can drive around the lake, but be cautious as the roads are quite narrow. Alternatively, visitors can choose to take a sightseeing boat tour, which takes about two hours. We arrived at Quyang Lake at 3 PM and chose to cycle around the lake. The bike rental fee is $30 for 2 hours, and $10 for each additional hour, with the latest return time at 6 PM. Quyang Lake is surrounded by rolling hills of varying heights, offering picturesque scenery along the way. You can capture beautiful photos from different angles, just like a landscape painting. Along the way, you can see many villagers herding livestock, some grazing cattle, and others herding ducks, enjoying a leisurely life. The best spot to watch the sunset at Quyang Lake is near the dam at the entrance. We managed to return the bikes to the visitor center by 6 PM and waited at the dam for the sunset. Although the clouds obscured most of the sun that day, rays of sunlight still pierced through the clouds, creating a stunning 'Jesus light' effect.
