The Yellow River Stone Forest National Geopark has a rather complex mode of transportation: self-driving mountain road➡️park shuttle bus➡️electric cart➡️canyon hiking➡️electric cart➡️donkey cart➡️climbing on foot➡️descending on foot➡️return by donkey cart+electric cart+shuttle bus. The Yellow River Stone Forest Grand Canyon is located in Jingtai County, Gansu Province, with a plateau loess landform, vast and desolate. A significant event occurred in the history of the Yellow River Stone Forest: in 2021, a mountain marathon held here resulted in the hypothermia deaths of 21 participants due to sudden weather changes and poor management. The mountain road that now leads to the main entrance of the scenic area by self-driving was once the race track, and it seems that this event has been discontinued after 2021. In the future, an even greater event will take place here: the construction of the Heishanxia Hydropower Station on the Yellow River. Once the hydropower station is completed and put into operation, the main area of the canyon will become a reservoir, and this natural wonder may be submerged underwater, never to be seen again. So-called 'time brings great changes to the world' is the transformation under the mighty force of nature, where the primordial wilderness recedes, and the towering mountains stand, leaving behind thousands of ravines as the annals of time; 'time brings great changes to the world' is also due to human interference, turning the natural creation and historical glory into nothingness, gradually forgotten.
