It was built in 780 AD, meaning "village on the head of the field." Now you can still see many traditional stilt houses, bamboo buildings, wooden buildings, peacock and elephant carvings, which are very ethnic. - I stayed in Manhena for a few days, and I chose Suyin Banshan, which is located at the highest point of the ancient village. On the viewing plank road, you can also overlook the entire village, especially in the early morning, when the sun is just out, everything is golden, and the surroundings are very quiet, and you will feel a little shocked. - Greenery can be seen everywhere, as if walking in a small forest. Opening the window, you can see a wall of green. Xishuangbanna has no shortage of sunshine, and plants grow vigorously, with vitality flowing everywhere. - A two-minute walk away, there are many delicious and fun places to visit. There is a very small market called Ganbai Guest. Compared with other markets, the selection of products is quite good, but the prices are also more expensive. Many are handmade, but there are only five or six stores in total, and several are opened by the same boss. It seems that they are sourced from all over Nepal, but you can't try them on, probably because they are afraid of getting the clothes dirty? But not being able to try them on also makes it a little difficult to buy. - There are also temple fairs on Saturdays and Sundays, but unfortunately, I changed my accommodation on Saturday. It is said that temple fairs are not just markets, but also have singing and dancing, etc. It is a pity that I missed it. The village has a large farmers market, which is also highly recommended. The fruits are fresh and cheap, and the stall owners are warm and friendly, and will also help with fruit cutting.
