Xishuangbanna General Buddhist Temple

Jinghong has the Great Buddha Temple (Mengle Cultural Tourism Zone), General Buddhist Temple, and Golden Pagoda Temple. The General Buddhist Temple was built in the mid-7th century AD, with a history of more than 1,000 years. It is one of the earliest Theravada Buddhist temples in Xishuangbanna and was once the royal temple of the ancient Dai royal family. The architecture of the General Buddhist Temple is beautiful and exotic. A TV series I watched was filmed here for the Southeast Asian exterior scenes. The General Buddhist Temple is adjacent to Manting Imperial Garden, and the first few pictures were taken on the way from the Imperial Garden to the General Buddhist Temple.
