Visit the Imperial Kiln Factory in Jingdezhen to see the stunning ancient porcelain.

On October 9 this year, I visited the Imperial Kiln Factory in Jingdezhen. The Imperial Kiln Factory, also known as the Imperial Utensil Factory, is a place where porcelain is fired for the court. The establishment of the Imperial Utensil Factory in Jingdezhen began in the Song Dynasty and was inherited by the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. In the Ming Dynasty, the Imperial Utensil Factory was usually managed by Raozhou Prefecture, which governed Fuliang County and Jingdezhen. Whenever a large amount of firing was required, the court would send a special person to Jingdezhen to supervise the kiln. In the Qing Dynasty, a pottery supervisor was sent to Jingdezhen for a long stay. Jingdezhen's porcelain making rose in the Han and Wei Dynasties, developed in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, began to emerge in the Song Dynasty, and rose in the Yuan Dynasty. By the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was a world-famous porcelain capital. The Imperial Kiln Factory was a royal kiln factory that specialized in making court porcelain in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is the official porcelain factory in China with the longest firing time, the largest scale, and the most exquisite craftsmanship. The ancient porcelain exhibition is definitely worth a visit!! The site is extremely rich in underground relics. Yuan Dynasty official kiln porcelain and a large number of various utensils from the Hongwu, Yongle, Xuande, Zhengtong, Chenghua, Hongzhi, and Zhengde periods of the Ming Dynasty have been unearthed, which are of great significance to the study of the history of China's ceramics development. The Imperial Kiln Porcelain has been fired for the royal family for more than 700 years, and most of the precious official kiln porcelain passed down is now collected in the Palace Museum in Beijing, the Palace Museum in Taipei, and major museums around the world.
