Zhangqiu Museum

Located in Zhangqiu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, the Zhangqiu Museum is a comprehensive museum integrating history, art, and archaeology. The museum building blends traditional and modern styles and houses over 10,000 artifacts. With Longshan culture as its core, the museum showcases Zhangqiu's profound heritage as an important birthplace of Chinese civilization. The museum holds precious artifacts such as eggshell black pottery from the Neolithic Age, Shang and Zhou bronzes, and Han Dynasty portrait stones. It is particularly renowned for the Longshan cultural relics unearthed from the Chengziya Ruins, which testify to the glorious history of the "Ancient City of the East." Permanent exhibitions are divided into themed halls such as "Prehistoric Culture," "Shang and Zhou Civilization," and "Han Dynasty Elegance." Through cultural relics, scene restoration, and digital technology, the museum vividly presents the cultural context of Zhangqiu from ancient times to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The museum also has a special exhibition area for the Chengziya Ruins, systematically introducing the discovery and research process of this national-level archaeological site.
