Shuangfeng Temple in Jieyang

Jieyang version of the Great Buddha Temple | The Shuangfeng Temple in the ancient city looks great at night. Almost every old city is paired with an ancient temple, just as the Great Buddha Temple is to the old city of Guangzhou, and the Kaiyuan Temple to the ancient city of Chaozhou. The ancient city of Jieyang is guarded by the Shuangfeng Temple. Shuangfeng Temple is located within the Rongcheng District of Jieyang city, originally built during the Song dynasty, renowned both domestically and internationally, and along with Chaozhou Kaiyuan Temple and Chaoyang Lingshan Temple, it is known as one of the three famous temples in Chaoshan. 'The Evening Bells of Shuangfeng' is also one of the eight ancient scenic spots of Jieyang. In recent years, Shuangfeng Temple is undergoing the first phase of expansion. The construction is basically complete and the lights have been fully turned on recently. The first phase includes two pagodas and a multi-story main hall, designed in the Han and Tang architectural style. It is currently the tallest building within the ancient city of Jieyang and has become a new landmark of the ancient city. There is no major road connecting Shuangfeng Temple and the main road of the Zhongshan Road arcade street district in the ancient city, so it is necessary to pass through some complex alleys in the ancient city. The wayfinding system is not yet perfect, so it is best for tourists who are not familiar with the roads to go back to Xuegong Square and then head to Shuangfeng Temple.
