Come to Jieyang for a 24-hour journey!

If you come to the Chaoshan area by plane, you will land at Jieyang (Chaoshan) Airport, and then go to your respective destinations. For us tourists, Chaozhou and Shantou in the Chaoshan area seem to be more famous, while Jieyang is just a transfer station, relatively niche. In fact, historically, as early as the Qin Dynasty, there was a place called 'Jieyang', which was the first city in the Chaoshan area to have a name! Although the ancient city of Jieyang is not large, it is also worth savoring. You can have a 24-hour or two-day and one-night journey through time. Itinerary: D1 Jinxian Gate—Jieyang Academy—City God Temple—Thunder God Temple In the afternoon, from the airport to the ancient city, you can stay near Jinxian Gate, which is within walking distance to several nearby attractions. After visiting the attractions, go for a beef hotpot meal. D2 Zhongshan Road Arcade Old Street—Ancient Banyan Martial Temple In the morning, try the Jieyang rice rolls (the rice rolls from the three places in Chaoshan each have their own characteristics, all recommended to try), topped with marinated sauce, paired with a bowl of soup, eat it hot and start strolling, and in the evening go to the snack street near the Martial Temple, and you can also check in at the cathedral. Recommended spots for time travel: Jinxian Gate Tower - As shown in picture 2 during the day and picture 3 at night, does it look more like Tang, Yuan, Ming, Qing? Go up to the second floor, and around 20:00 there is a local opera performance. Jieyang Academy - Pictures 1, 3-9, many young men and women dressed in Hanfu, beautifully shuttling through the ancient higher education institution of Confucius Temple with a history of 900 years. Jieyang Zhongshan Arcade Old Street - Pictures 14-17, there are many arcades in the Lingnan region, walking on the arcade old street of Jieyang, feeling the charm of history, exploring the traces of history. If you like the hustle and bustle, it is recommended to go in the morning or evening, there is more of a lively atmosphere!
