The sweet-scented osmanthus flowers bloom in the courtyard of Sanqiu, where I feel at home

It's my third visit to Jianshui, and I'm staying at the same guesthouse. When traveling in Yunnan, I only want to stay in local guesthouses with various characteristics, regardless of their luxury or simplicity. Those courtyards are always full of blooming flowers, especially beautiful. Many years ago, it was Lawyer Song, who settled in Kunming, who drove us to Jianshui. At that time, there weren't many tourists, and my close friends liked it very much. This time, without a reservation, I briefly checked online and navigated directly to Sanqiu Courtyard by intuition, and just like that, I stayed here for two nights. There are always many surprises in the alleys of Jianshui. Behind the unassuming doors, there's another world. It was the time when the sweet-scented osmanthus was in bloom, with the fragrance of the pale yellow flowers filling the air, and bougainvillea hanging down from the walls, the courtyard was brimming with the essence of spring. We three chose a suite on the second floor with three beds. Lawyer Song took the big bed, while Piaopiao and I stayed in the other room with twin beds. I particularly liked the tea room outside the room, with its simple decor. The cotton and linen curtains isolated the tea room from the outside world, a long table, woven sitting cushions, and a bunch of flowers. Working here was undisturbed, and it didn't bother anyone else. When tired of writing, looking out the window, I saw a courtyard full of flowers and green willows, which was incredibly healing. This time in Jianshui, we didn't go to any scenic spots to check in, truly relaxing. When the mood struck, we went to the nearby market to buy groceries and cooked at the guesthouse. For breakfast, we made noodles, and at noon, we reheated the leftovers from the restaurant the night before and made a soup, just like at home. There were several tea rooms in the guesthouse, but we found drinking tea in the courtyard to be the most comfortable. Piaopiao's tea set came in handy, and after breakfast, we had a morning tea session in the courtyard. Three old friends who have known each other for forty years leisurely drank tea and chatted, enjoying the gentle breeze. Such leisurely days are quite nice! We also became friends with the front desk of the guesthouse. The post-98 butler learned on the fly and took many photos for us, and that's how we got a group photo of the three of us.
