Stayed at a hidden gem hotel in Jiangsu! So comfortable

Holiday Inn Jianhu Stay Experience While driving through Yancheng, I booked the Holiday Inn located in Jianhu County. I originally thought hotels in county towns would be ordinary, but this one turned out to be remarkably grand. Arriving at midnight, the parking lot at the hotel entrance was convenient, and the bright, spacious lobby immediately left me with an excellent first impression. Although the lobby décor wasn’t brand new, it had a calm and elegant style. The decorative paintings on the walls depicting local scenic landscapes were artistically captivating. Its unique style differed from typical Holiday Inns, suggesting it might have been later joined by another business hotel brand. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, patiently explaining the benefits even during the late-night shift. They clearly informed me about breakfast times and dining locations, completed the payment and deposit process, and thoughtfully upgraded my room. Although the actual room was similar to a large guest room, the overall experience was still excellent. The room was about 40 to 50 square meters, spacious and comfortable, with a desk directly facing the entrance and a square dining table inside. The white base tone combined with Southeast Asian style design gave it a vibe reminiscent of Singapore hotels. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities: The hotel’s hardware facilities were luxurious, and the price of 300 RMB per night was a great value. The room was equipped with a minibar with a coffee machine, a comfortable bathtub, and a generous welcome fruit platter. The bedding was exceptional; the mattress perfectly balanced softness and support. The signature IHG dual-pillow setup, one soft and one firm, allowed me, who prefers firmer pillows, to enjoy a comfortable sleep. Although I didn’t experience the lounge late at night, the lounge entrance decoration was distinctive and worth stopping to take photos. The strong Chinese style in the lobby blended interestingly with the Southeast Asian flair of the guest rooms. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The room was spotless, with meticulous maintenance of facilities. The overall environment was clean and tidy, reflecting quality in every detail. 💰 Average Cost: About 150 - 300 RMB per person (based on double occupancy). For this price, enjoying such hardware facilities and service is extremely cost-effective. 💗 Other Tips: The hotel’s location is excellent, close to the high-speed rail station, just a few minutes by car. The surrounding area is convenient for daily life, with Henglong Plaza and a commercial pedestrian street nearby, meeting all kinds of dining and shopping needs. A half-hour drive can take you to Huai Opera Town, perfect for short trips and exploration. Whether for local residents relaxing on weekends or travelers passing through, it’s an excellent choice. This brief trip to Yancheng was made especially wonderful because of this hotel, and I look forward to exploring the charm of Yancheng city more deeply next time.
