The station combines Renaissance and Mudejar elements

Jerez de la Frontera train station is located at Plaza de la Estacaion Ferrocarril s/n, approximately 500m east of the historic city center. It is a building of great architectural value and is therefore protected as a cultural asset. This gorgeous historic building is still in use and is a pleasant surprise for tourists visiting Jerez. The station combines Renaissance and Mudéjar elements, which are reflected in many of the decorative elements. The ornate building is on one side of the railway line and on the other side is a simple curtain wall. They are spanned by a freestanding, unremarkable steel and glass roof. Those viewing the station from the east side could be forgiven for not giving the station a second glance. There are 2-3 Alvia long-distance trains per day to Madrid and Barcelona, MD medium-distance trains to Cadiz, Seville, Cordoba and Jaén, some of which continue to Jaén, and Cercanias commuter rail services to San Fernando and Cadiz. #11月好去2024 #SpainTravel #Andalucia #TrainTour #RailwayTour #RenaissanceArchitecture #Moors
