Andalucia Tour ~ Jerez The Alcázar in Jerez de la Frontera is a silent witness to Andalusia's rich history. This impressive complex was built during the Almohad rule in the 12th century and has survived centuries of conquest and transformation. Each stone and arch tells a story, from the Muslim days to its re-conversion into a Christian fortress. Here, time seems to stop and history comes to life. I really enjoyed visiting the Alcazar in Jerez. It’s not as crowded as Seville and Granada, but still has plenty to offer visitors.
