It was great to focus on the accommodation away from the city and heal, and it was so warm that it was nice to sit quietly and spend time looking at the waterside garden〰️
It is divided into one, two, three, and four stars, and there is a waterside garden in the center,

There is a separate jacuzzi space indoors, so you can relax in all four seasons while looking out the window or enjoying the space.
The comfortable bedding, wide and long living room, and kitchen provide a sense of openness.

Gochang Seonunsa (Heaven of Flower Pots!)
The holy land of flowerpots! Seonunsa Temple in Gochang. I visited in early September, and since September-October is the season for flowerpots to bloom, I recommend going on an outing in the fall when the weather is nice! ❤️ I recommend using your own car.
Enjoy Seonunsa Temple to your heart's content, and while you're at it, eat some eel! I tasted the best eel ever. The price is around 40,000-50,000 won for two people, so you can eat your fill of wild eel.

There is also a large sheep farm in Gochang!
#Gochang_Alps🌿
#Sangha_Farm where you can see sheep running around on the green fields
Not only the ranch, but also the restaurant, cafe, farmer's village, and glamping
are all there, so half a day is not enough
and you should come for 1 night and 2 days to see everything!
We recommend a course where you can tour the ranch in the morning, experience milking,
have lunch with pasta and pizza at Sangha Kitchen,
and experience bread making & tour the workshop in the afternoon!
🐑Tip
We recommend visiting in the morning as the sunlight is hot in the afternoon and the sheep may go inside the ranch!

Jeonbuk Wanju Awon House. A place that was built and opened by Os Group over 5 years ago. I had high expectations because it is a place that takes a lot of pictures, and it really lives up to its reputation. The mountainside is so beautiful.
Accommodation costs 200,000 to 1 million won. The accommodation cost for old houses is higher than you think, but the fog on the mountainside that you see when you wake up in the morning is like a work of art... The coffee shop closes around 4 o'clock, so go when it closes.

Have you heard of a cafe full of pottery filled with the beauty of Korea?
A wide space filled with 4,000 pottery pieces,
A place where colorful flowers and blue skies come together!
I enjoyed my time here with gentle music, cool breeze, and green nature🌿
This breathtakingly magnificent place is also the filming location for the drama Kingdom:)
I recommend Gosrak, a unique cafe that you can only enjoy in Korea, as a travel destination in Jeolla-do!

A rising hot place, a trip to the quarry in Byeonsan Peninsula!
If I had to pick the most unique coast in our country,
I would pick Chaeseokgang on the Byeonsan Peninsula without a moment's hesitation!!
The cross-section of the huge strata that have been piled up since the Mesozoic Era
makes everyone who visits here gape😲
When I visited the rocky coast of Chaeseokgang during low tide, when nature allowed it,
I saw an unusually large amount of moss.
Despite receiving cold seawater twice a day with my whole body, the moss that tenaciously clung to the rocks
was vibrant and green in the square frame💚
P.S. The hottest place for photos of your life! Take a photo of your life at the sea cave photo zone on one side of the Byeonsan Peninsula📸

Sinsunbong at Naejangsan, Stairway to Heaven
#summervacay Hiked up to Sinsunbong at Naejangsan and wow, my legs are still mad, but my eyes? Very happy. The trail kicks off all scenic and innocent, with temples, trees, and that crisp mountain air that makes you feel healthier just breathing it. Then… the stairs hit. So. Many. Stairs.
But every time I thought I was about to tap out, I’d hit a viewpoint that was straight-up postcard material. Like, full panoramic mountain drama. The higher you go, the better it gets, and when you finally hit Sinsunbong Peak? Absolute peak moment (pun intended).
The view from the top is insane, especially if you catch it in the fall, layers of red, orange, and gold like someone cranked nature’s saturation settings. Sat up there with some kimbap and just stared into the distance like a mountain monk.
Sinsunbong is a climb, for sure, but if you’re down for the burn, it pays you back in full. Bring water. Bring snacks. Bring good vibes.
Quiet Trails Baekamsan
#summervacay If you’re looking for a lowkey adventure with highkey views, Baekamsan in Naejangsan National Park is the move. It’s not as famous as Naejangsan’s main peak, which honestly makes it even better, no crowds, just nature and chill. The trail starts off easy, winding through peaceful forest, and then gradually ramps up with a few steep bits to keep it interesting.
What I loved most? The silence. It’s one of those hikes where you actually hear the wind in the trees and your own footsteps. Super refreshing. Along the way, you get some awesome views of the surrounding mountains, and once you hit the top, it’s just... wow. Panoramic scenery, fresh air, and space to breathe.
We took our time, snapped a ton of photos, and just soaked it all in. If you’re into peaceful hikes with rewarding views but want to skip the tourist crowd, Baekamsan’s a hidden gem worth checking out. Pure mountain therapy.
Rockin’ Out at Maisan Peak
#summervacay If you’re into weird rock formations, quiet trails, and a bit of a workout, Mount Maisan is your jam. The twin peaks legit look like giant horse ears (Maisan literally means “horse ear mountain”) and it’s kinda surreal. The hike isn’t super intense, but it’ll get your heart going enough to feel like you earned your lunch.
There’s a cool temple built into the rocks called Tapsa Temple, super photogenic and just kinda magical. The stacked stone pagodas are wild, like something out of a fantasy movie. The vibe is peaceful, not too crowded, and the air feels extra fresh out there.
Bring water, comfy shoes, and maybe a snack if you wanna chill at the top for a bit. Oh, and don’t rush, it’s the kinda place you wanna take your time with. Total hidden gem if you're looking to escape the city for a day. Would 100% do it again!
Suspension Bridges, Stairway to Heaven, and Leg Day Deluxe
#summervacay Hit up Daedunsan for a hike and wow, this mountain does not mess around. Right from the jump, the scenery is wild. Jagged peaks, dramatic cliffs, and that famous red suspension bridge that looks like it came straight out of an adventure movie. Crossing it? Slightly terrifying, super fun. The wind shakes it a little, but that just adds to the thrill.
Then there’s the crazy steep staircase going almost straight up the rock face, felt like I was climbing into the sky. Not gonna lie, my legs were burning, but the views made it worth every step. At the top, it’s just insane. You get this epic 360-degree view of mountains and valleys that makes you forget about your burning calves.
The vibe was energetic but not overly crowded, and there were lots of great photo ops. Bring water, decent shoes, and your courage for that bridge. Daedunsan’s more than a hike, it’s a full-on experience.
Chill Hike, Hidden Temples & Epic Views
#summervacay So, Seonunsan Mountain? Total hidden gem. We rolled up without huge expectations and left totally obsessed. The trails are super manageable, some a bit steep, but nothing crazy, and the views are 100% worth it. You get this killer mix of forest paths, rocky viewpoints, and even some random ancient temples tucked into the mountain like a scene from a movie.
There’s this one temple, Seonunsa, near the base that’s peaceful AF. Even if you're not into temples, the vibe there is just calming. The sound of wind in the trees? Chef’s kiss.
What’s cool is you don’t need to be some hardcore hiker to enjoy it. We took plenty of snack breaks and still felt like we accomplished something. Oh, and if you’re into fall colors, this place slaps in autumn.
Bring comfy shoes, good vibes, and maybe some kimbap. Seonunsan isn’t loud or flashy, but it’s the kind of place that totally surprises you, in the best way.
Leaf It to Naejangsan
#summervacay Naejangsan National Park? Straight-up paradise. I went during peak foliage season, and it was like walking through a real-life filter, just red, orange, and gold everywhere. Even if you’re not a “hiking person,” this place will win you over. It’s got those easy trails that still make you feel accomplished, plus epic photo ops around every corner.
The vibe is super peaceful too. There’s a little temple tucked in the mountains (shoutout to Naejangsa Temple), and it feels like the perfect place to just sit and breathe for a minute. Also, there’s a cable car if your legs are protesting but you still want those mountain views. Major win.
It gets a bit crowded when the leaves are popping off, but honestly? Worth it. The combo of crisp air, pretty trees, and snack stands selling warm street food is unbeatable. If you’re ever in Korea during fall, go here. Nature really popped off with this one.
Clouds, Calm, and Climbing
#summervacay if you're in the mood for a relaxed mountain day with killer views, Deogyusan’s Hyangjeokbong Peak is a solid pick. It’s the highest point in the park, but don’t worry, it’s totally doable even if you’re not a hardcore hiker.
The trail is peaceful and surrounded by lush forest, especially beautiful in the early morning when everything’s still quiet. It’s a steady climb, but nothing too crazy. We took our time, stopped for snacks, and soaked in the scenery. The view from the top is unreal, rolling mountains fading into the distance, and if you're lucky, some dreamy clouds drifting by.
Even though it’s one of the higher peaks in Korea, the hike feels more meditative than intense. Bring water, comfy shoes, and maybe a little picnic if you want to chill at the summit. It’s not crowded either, which makes it extra nice. Overall, Hyangjeokbong is perfect for anyone wanting mountain vibes without the stress.
Suspension Bridges & Leg Day at Daedunsan
#summervacay Daedunsan Provincial Park in Jeonbuk is straight-up epic. This place has everything, rocky cliffs, wild stairs, and that famous suspension bridge that’ll either thrill you or totally freak you out (in a fun way, promise). We started the hike full of energy, not totally ready for how intense those stairs would be. It’s definitely a workout, but the views keep you motivated.
The bridge is the star, hanging between two peaks, swinging slightly in the wind. Super cool if you’re not afraid of heights (or even if you are, it’s worth it). After the bridge, there’s more climbing to get to the summit, and yeah… our legs were burning. But once you’re up there? Unreal. Sharp mountain ridges, layers of green, and a killer photo op.
We brought snacks, chilled out on the rocks, and soaked in that mountain breeze. If you're down for a hike that’s part adventure, part vertical challenge, Daedunsan’s the one. Just maybe don’t skip leg day before you go.
A Randomly Awesome Day at Maisan
#summervacay Maisan is straight-up wild in the best way. Like, imagine two giant horse ears popping out of the earth (yep, that’s what “Maisan” means), and then toss in some surreal temples and peaceful trails, you’ve got this underrated gem in Korea.
The hike isn’t crazy tough, so it's perfect if you’re feeling lazy-but-still-wanna-do-something-outdoorsy. The trails wind through forests and around these massive stone peaks that honestly look like something out of a fantasy movie. And then you get to Tapsa Temple, which is full of hand-stacked stone pagodas that somehow don’t fall over. It’s weird, kinda magical, and super cool to just wander around.
Also: major peaceful energy. Not packed with tourists, lots of spots to just sit and vibe. Bring a snack, maybe a friend, and definitely your camera, this place is low-key photogenic AF.
10/10 for the random adventure factor. Would totally go back for the good energy and those wild horse-ear mountains.
A Day in Nature's Backyard
#summervacay Okay, so Balaebong? Total hidden gem. I wasn’t expecting much when I set out, it’s not one of those Insta-famous places, but wow, it really snuck up on me. Think rolling hills, that super fresh air that makes you wanna just breathe more, and not too many people, which was a major win.
The trail up wasn’t super intense, but just enough to feel like I earned my lunch. Along the way, I kept stopping to stare at the views. It’s one of those places where you realize how loud your brain’s been lately, Balaebong just kind of turns the volume down.
At the top? Absolute peace. You know that “ahhh” moment when everything’s just still and right? That. It’s not a flashy hike, but it’s got a calm charm that stays with you.
If you’re looking for a chill escape, zero stress, and nature that doesn’t try too hard to impress (but still totally does), Balaebong’s your spot.

Located at Wonsan-gil 2, Gosan-myeon, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, this is a cozy bookstore where you can enjoy reading and relaxation. It's an ideal spot for indoor dates, especially on days with heavy snow, rain, or high levels of fine dust.

Warm and cozy café recommendation
Located at 71, Yulgok-ri, Gosan-myeon, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, this café features a warm and inviting interior. The atmosphere is truly delightful, offering a sense of relaxation and healing. On sunny days, you can enjoy your coffee on the terrace while admiring the surrounding nature.
The café is generally quiet and perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend it for anyone in need of some healing time. Please note that the café operates until 7 PM, so make sure to check the hours before visiting.
Jangansan Was Low-Key Awesome
#summervacay Jangansan is one of those hikes that doesn’t get hyped a lot, but totally deserves more love. It’s super accessible, and the trail kicks off with that peaceful forest vibe right away, lots of trees, birds chirping, and just enough incline to remind you you're moving. Nothing too intense though, so it’s great if you’re in the mood for a relaxed hike without going full mountain warrior.
As you climb, you start getting these little peeks of the city below, and by the time you hit the top, the view is actually pretty epic. Mountains, skyline, all of it. There’s a nice rest area up there too, perfect for a snack break and just chilling out.
The trail’s well-marked, not too crowded, and has that perfect mix of calm nature and solid views. Great for a weekend recharge without going far or getting wrecked. Jangansan’s definitely a hidden gem if you’re into chill hikes that still give you a “wow” at the top.
Nature Escape
#summervacay Looking for a quiet spot to unwind? Baemsagol Valley in Jirisan’s Namwon area is exactly that. The whole vibe is super relaxed, cool forest trails, gentle streams, and plenty of fresh air. Walking through the valley feels like stepping into a nature movie, with waterfalls, rocks to climb, and cozy spots perfect for chilling out and soaking up the calm.
The trails are pretty easy-going, so it works whether you’re new to hiking or just want a low-key day outdoors. You’ll spot some wildlife, hear water flowing constantly, and forget all about city noise. Great for a slow-paced hike, snapping pics, or having a picnic. Baemsagol Valley is a hidden gem where time feels slower and you can really recharge. Totally worth a visit!
Hiking Gangcheonsan Was a Breeze
#summervacay Looking for a super easy hike that still hooks you up with awesome views? Gangcheonsan is definitely worth checking out. The trail isn’t too steep or tricky, so it’s perfect if you want to get outside and move without feeling wiped out. You’ll stroll through peaceful forest with fresh air and plenty of bird songs, honestly, a nice little escape from city noise.
As you near the summit, the trees part ways and reveal some really nice views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It’s a great spot to stop, catch your breath, and just soak in the quiet vibes. Plus, it’s not packed with people, so you get some solid alone time with nature.
If you want an easy, chill hike that leaves you feeling refreshed and happy, Gangcheonsan’s a winner. Definitely add it to your list!
Yonggwolsan Sky Road Hike is Straight Up Cool
#summervacay Looking for a super easy hike with stunning views? Yonggwolsan Sky Road is the perfect spot. The trail is mostly flat and chill, so it’s great if you want to enjoy nature without breaking a sweat. Walking along this road feels like you’re floating through the clouds, especially when the fog rolls in, it’s honestly kind of magical.
You get a nice mix of lush forest, open sky, and those classic mountain vibes. There are plenty of lookout spots where you can pause, snap some photos, and just soak it all in. Plus, it’s not super crowded, so you can really enjoy the peacefulness.
It’s perfect for a laid-back morning or afternoon escape from the city. Just bring a jacket because it can get pretty breezy up there. Easy, beautiful, and totally worth it!
Chasing Waterfalls at Guryonggyegok
#summervacay Guryonggyegok Valley is pure nature bliss. If you’re into forest vibes, clear water, and that peaceful away from it all feeling, this place delivers. The trail is super manageable, not too steep, not too long, just a nice, relaxed walk through the woods with constant water sounds in the background.
There are a bunch of small waterfalls and pools along the way, and they’re seriously pretty. Some spots even look like they came straight out of a Ghibli movie. It’s perfect for a slow stroll, photo breaks, or dipping your feet in the water if it’s hot out. Bring snacks and maybe even a picnic, there are a few flat spots that are perfect for chilling.
It’s not super touristy either, so you might get lucky and have parts of the trail to yourself. Peaceful, refreshing, and totally worth the trip.
Cliffside Wandering at Chaeseokgang
#summervacay Chaeseokgang Cliff is one of those places where you just end up saying whoa a lot. The rock formations are wild, layers and layers of stone stacked like nature’s Jenga tower, right next to the ocean. It’s super fun to explore, climb around a bit (carefully), and just watch the waves crash into the cliffs below.
The best part? It’s super chill. You can wander at your own pace, snap a ton of photos, or just sit and vibe with the sea breeze. At low tide, you can walk along the shore and get closer to the cliffs, it feels like stepping into a hidden world.
Sunset here? Absolute chef’s kiss. The whole place glows. Bring a coffee, a camera, and maybe a friend who doesn’t mind you stopping every 10 seconds to say ,LOOK at this rock! It’s that kind of spot.
