Visiting the Jeollanam-do Provincial Art Museum

-Visiting the Jeollanam-do Provincial Art Museum- The Jeollanam-do Provincial Art Museum, located in Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do, is hosting an exhibition themed around the theme of "black," "BLACK & BLACK," to commemorate the Jeollanam-do International Sumuk Biennale. So, I visited the museum before embarking on a long trip. This exhibition connects the tradition of Eastern sumi-e with the black paintings of Western Informel and Abstract Expressionism. It features works by world-renowned masters like Pierre Soulages, Hans Hartung, and Robert Motherwell, along with masters of Korean modern art like Lee Ufan, Lee Ungno, and Lee Kang-so.
