Gwandeokjeong is the oldest building on Jeju Island and a cultural heritage site. It's also home to the Jeju Eupseong Fortress, Bongseonggwan, and the Catholic Church. There's also a parking lot and a building. The cathedral's soaring ceilings give it a majestic appearance. If you're a Catholic, a visit is a must-see when visiting Jeju Island! It's located near Chilsung-ro, and there are many delicious restaurants and shops nearby. It's worth a visit before your trip.

#9月好地方2025 Address: 2444-2 Ora 1(il)-dong, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Dadam다담 is a home-style restaurant featuring all-female chefs. It's located in a large garden house behind the long-distance bus terminal. There's ample parking, and many locals frequent it. There's a cat to greet guests. The set lunch, the most expensive at 19,000 won, is quite good. It's much better than the overpriced porridge with minimal abalone. The dishes aren't spicy and are very satisfying. The side dishes are also generous, making them impossible to finish. The beef patties and lotus leaf rice were both delicious. Deserves 10 stars. There's no MSG flavor; just salt, soy sauce, chili powder, vinegar, chili paste, and soybean paste. It's a healthy restaurant. You don't need to order side dishes; they'll bring them right up to you, and you'll get three refills.

Jeju Island is the best place to take a break from everything and meet interesting people. You can see and do a lot in 7 days of travel. Most of the entertainment is very cheap, but getting to some locations can be difficult. Waiting for buses can take up to 30 minutes, and the journey to the location can take up to 1.5 hours. It is best to check in advance until what time certain establishments work and organize your route wisely. But in order not to wait for buses and reduce travel time, it is better to order a taxi in the kakao T application. It will also not be too expensive, and the saved time can be spent exploring new locations. You don’t have to worry about the application and payment, since you don’t need to have a Korean phone number to register, and in the payment column you can indicate “cash to the driver”. So, about some differences. For those who have not gone karting, Jeju has a huge territory for this and a beautiful view of nature to boot. For one person 10 km (several laps) I paid 40,000 won (~2400 rubles). You can choose less, since 10 km is quite a long time, at some point I got tired of driving. The view from the karting is incredible. There are also many interesting activities on the territory, in addition to karting. For those who have not traveled in a submarine - this is also a great opportunity to do so in Jeju. For one person, the ticket was 53,000 won (~3000 rubles) taking into account the coupon. If you want a discount, then take a brochure at the hotel, they are like advertisements in a prominent place. The journey takes 1-1.5 hours and as a bonus they will take a photo for you as a souvenir and print it out. And on the way back to the shore, they will take you for a ride with the wind on another boat on the top floor. My special recommendation is the botanical garden in Hallim Park. One hour is definitely not enough to see everything. A huge number of different trees and plants. For the first time I saw figs, bananas, pitahaya, kiwi, persimmon and many other things growing in real life. In addition to plants, there are also animals that can freely walk around the park. There is also a beautiful location with a Korean village. In Donnaeko resort, you can immerse yourself in nature to the fullest. In one part, there is a shallow stream with stones and an incredible view. The trees block the sky, but the sun's rays pass through the branches, and a fog appears above the stream. It seems like these are hot springs, but the water is icy, and the view is beautiful. In another part, you can take a vest for free and swim. The path takes a little longer, since you need to go down the stairs. In another part of the island, you can visit Seongsan Ilchulbong ("Sunrise Peak"). The ticket costs 5,000 won (~300 rubles), if I'm not mistaken. They were absolutely thrilled! 🐴 We also stopped by a ranch where we enjoyed a cup of tea while admiring the pastoral scenery. The view of the green fields was truly healing. 🌿 Lastly, we visited a stunning beach with emerald waters. 🌊 We played in the sand and had fun in the refreshing water, wrapping up our trip on a high note. #SignUpSeptemberHotelTester2025 Compared to the ocean view rooms at Hamdeok Beach, I don't think it's necessary to stay in this hotel. The standard twin rooms offer excellent value. The front desk speaks Chinese, and a 50,000 Korean won deposit or credit card is required. The hotel is very clean, with good soundproofing, and most importantly, a great location. Chilsung Street is a five-minute walk away, and a stroll along the seaside square after dinner is a pleasant experience. Nearby Restaurants and Shopping A CU and 7-Eleven convenience stores are about 200 meters away, making shopping very convenient. There's also a BHC fried chicken shop nearby (not recommended). Chilsung Street, Dongmun Market, and Black Pork Street are all within walking distance. Hotel Location It's a 20-minute bus ride from Jeju Airport, or about 3-4 kilometers by taxi. Both buses and taxis are very convenient, making it easy to get to various attractions. One day, we signed up for a day trip to Udo Island, and the hotel provided pick-up and drop-off. (The two women on our day trip stayed near Hamdeok, so pick-up wasn't provided and we had to take a taxi to meet up at our hotel in the city.) Therefore, staying in a city hotel is more convenient.

Their signature items include Salt Butter Bread, Olive Ciabatta, and Corn Dogs. No matter what you order here, the taste is exceptional, making it a must-visit spot for bread lovers. It's so popular that there's often a queue even if you arrive right at opening time. My personal recommendations are the Egg Mayo Salt Bread and Olive Ciabatta!

After eating, you can leave your food inside to take photos, which was truly photogenic. I instantly understood why everyone came here to film music videos. The props inside are all usable, including the piano. Just be careful not to lie on the bed or step on it with your shoes off. Also, be careful not to kowtow when entering the caves. There are safety helmets nearby, so if you're afraid of kowtow, bring them. The check-in experience was fantastic because the air in the mountains is so fresh and the scenery is stunning. The first and second floors offer different views of the ocean. The first floor has a selection of breads to choose from. Their food is photogenic and quite delicious, with no disappointments. They have sweet and savory options to choose from, and the prices are reasonable. The second floor is where we took our photos. It's perfect for photos. I recommend wearing a stylish dress to capture the moment. The third floor is a separate terrace for those who enjoy outdoor photography. Must-see spots 1. Window-view table (recommend arriving early as it's more crowded in the afternoon) 2. Outdoor terrace (on sunny days, the seawater is clearly stratified, creating Jeju's unique Tiffany blue) Sunset (Around 6:00 PM, golden sunlight bathes the sea, creating a captivating atmosphere) You can also stroll along the Handam Beach Promenade. There are also many cafes and restaurants nearby, all accessible along the promenade, making it ideal for those traveling without a car. Arrive early in the afternoon to secure a good spot for sunset viewing. Most good spots are outdoors, making it best to visit on sunny days and when it's not raining. Unfortunately, the oranges had already been harvested when we visited. The interior is a Jeju-style stone house with European and American decor. The fish is so crispy you can chew it, and the kelp soup is filled with fresh kelp leaves and is slightly spicy. Plus, the prices are so good, it's quite impressive for Jeju Island. They only have four options: seaweed soup, sea urchin and kelp soup, grilled fish, and what seems to be a tofu soup. I highly recommend ordering the seaweed soup (몸구), it's incredibly delicious. One minor drawback is that there's a wait during peak hours, so get there early. This is a love and sensuality theme park open only to adults, with no admission for minors under 18. That said, the park primarily features contemporary art themed around love and sex, and doesn't feel particularly sexually explicit. It's completely entertainment-focused. *Due to image registration restrictions, nude monuments have been removed. Some of the exhibits are cute animal-themed, others uniquely satirical, and some even feature sexual symbols from around the world. It's truly diverse. The park's museum displays the history of sex and adult paraphernalia, some of which are even available for purchase. We've seen a fair number of foreign groups visit. Its crater filled with water makes it a 'hot spot' among Jeju's oreums (volcanic hills). 🚗 Parking is limited, so a pro tip is to park along the roadside near the entrance if you find a spot! For those traveling on foot, taxis are readily available, making it easily accessible. Upon arrival at the entrance, you'll first encounter a small pond called 'Saeng-i Mot.' This pond, historically used as a water source, also served as a refuge during the Jeju 4.3 Incident, adding historical significance to its charm. ⛰️ The initial trail is shaded by trees, offering a cool and pleasant walk. However, it soon transitions to a sunny ridge. In summer, a portable fan and water are essential! The well-maintained path makes it easy for children to climb as well. We reached the ridge at the summit in about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace! Along the way, the breezy scenery and expansive views of the western landscape made the climb feel effortless.

Jeju Island is home to countless oreums (volcanic cones), but among them, Darangshi Oreum, known as the 'Queen of Oreums,' is a must-visit spot! (Originally, I planned to visit Yongnuni Oreum, but it was closed for its resting period, so I came here instead 😊) The wooden stairs at the entrance can be a bit challenging, but once you get past the initial section, the zigzag trail makes the climb relatively easy. Even my parents, who are in their sixties, managed to hike up without any trouble! 👣 At the summit (382m), you'll be greeted with a panoramic view of Jeju's eastern landscape, including Seongsan Ilchulbong and wind turbines ✨. Even on a cloudy day, the view was stunning, and I can only imagine how breathtaking it would be on a clear day! The crater is 115m deep and, when viewed from above, it somewhat resembles a heart shape 💚. Walking along the 1.5km trail around the summit, you'll encounter a green tunnel formed by sasa trees, which feels like a scene straight out of a movie 🎬🌳. 📍 Darangshi Oreum (Gujwa-eup, Jeju City) 🚗 No entrance fee, parking available at the open space near the entrance ⏱️ Round trip takes about 1 hour (or 1.5 hours if you leisurely walk around the summit trail) Even on rainy days, the hike is manageable, and standing at the summit makes all the sweat and fatigue disappear. 📸 While Baekyaki Oreum is known as the 'photo spot oreum,' Darangshi Oreum is perfect for enjoying the view!

If you arrive after 8 a.m., there will be no space. There is a parking lot below, but it's an uphill climb, so we recommend starting your hike early in the morning.
