HIJOE CAFFE | Green and shady near Lenteng Agung

It doesn't feel like having coffee in LA or Lenteng Agung with the chaos of some of its streets. Shaded by plants, hijoe.kopi is somewhat hidden from the road where it is located, namely Jalan Joe Kelapa Tiga. If you look closely, it seems like the café's name comes from a combination of the words "hijau" (green) and (Jalan) Joe. Sharing the area with a car wash, Hijoe has ample parking space. For those using public transportation, Hijoe is easy to reach. It’s only 1 km from Lenteng Agung Station towards Jakarta and is also accessible by the Transjakarta 9H route Cipedak-Pasar Minggu PP. This Ramadan, its opening hours remain the same, starting at 9 AM, closing a little later than usual. The main building of Hijoe houses an air-conditioned seating area and a coffee bar. I prefer to sit in the semi-open area, cool with a gentle breeze. For those visiting in the afternoon, there is a break-fasting promo for 55,000 IDR. But that’s not what my friends and I ordered, as we wanted drinks other than the iced/hot tea included in the package.
